Wirral STEM Partnership for Girls Challenge Day. Supported by Evoke Creative and Birkenhead High School Academy
We’re partnering with schools across Wirral to deliver a STEM challenge day for pupils in Year 9. Wirral STEM Partnership have invited pupils from the six girls’ schools in the region for a full day of design and creativity, learning skills including innovation, teamwork and leadership.
The six girls’ schools in Wirral have united to work towards a range of objectives including improving the teaching of science and design and technology, and developing relationships with STEM-related organisations. It’s a funded two-year project but it is hoped the relationships will continue beyond this.
The event takes place on Friday 16 November and will be hosted by our Evoke Creative design and software teams along with teachers and STEM ambassadors. Our team will set the brief and support the pupils to prepare their projects to present at the end of the day. Each school will bring two teams of five to take part making this a big event for the region.
As well as an overall winning team which will be chosen by the judges, pupils have the opportunity to win individual prizes for innovation, teamwork and leadership.
We’re excited to see what the pupils come up with!
