Last week, consumer appliance ‘mega-brand’ Dyson opened their second UK demo store, at Manchester’s Trafford Centre.
A space designed to encourage consumers to explore and interact with their wide range of products. This new store’s is part of the tech giants plans to strengthen their direct to consumer strategy, providing them with an accessible space to showcase their brand and full product range, for consumers across the north of England.
The immersive 130 square metre space on the first floor of the shopping centre features a range of demonstration zones where Dyson experts are on-hand to assist customers, and tech nerds alike. Ever wondered how DYSON products work? There’s enough tech detail on show, and product knowledge information from the store team, to keep even the most informed consumer (or engineer) engaged by DYSON’s product technology.
At the rear of the store is DYSON’s Beauty Lab, a space where the consumer can book in, and enjoy a wash, blow dry and style using DYSON haircare technology appliances. Not only can the consumer receive a full styling experience, before they purchase. They can also get their new haircare appliance carry-case, personalised with gold embossed lettering – very swish.
This is a premium engagement space for DYSON, elevating brand experience from the spaces traditionally created for the brand within John Lewis or Currys stores, a true experiential flagship, that helps the consumers test and try before they buy.
Definitely worth a visit the next time you’re at the Trafford Centre.
